EXTERIOR / INTERIOR

Although I always felt the the Dodge Stealth was one of the most exotic cars on the road, there were a few things I wanted to do to improve the looks.

First I installed a set of Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs. It dropped the car about 1.5 inches, removing the unsightly gap between the fenders and the wheels. This also provided a stiffer, more controlled ride.

The 92 Stealth, in stock form, had all of its badging (twin turbo on the sides, and Dodge Stealth R/T on the back) in the same color as the body. When Manhke Auto Body repainted Fusee Rouge in the spring of 1997, I had them replace all of the badging with the kit for a black Stealth.

Here is a picture of the front end after I replaced the stock fog lamps with PIAA 1400. I used the existing mounting brackets, along with some spacers to mount the PIAA's. It gives the front a more open look.

Here are some pictures of the BOZZ Speed Bonnet Scoops. These replacements for the shock tower covers are open on the back side, to help the venting of hot air in the engine compartment.

Here is a shot of the KAZE Intake scoop thats mounted on the passenger side head light cover. The theory is to allow cool air into the area where the HKS SuperMegaFlo intake is located. I haven't decided if this is a performance or a cosmetic modification.

After I replaced the factory stereo with a Kenwood KDC-715S, I decided to mount the HKS VPC and EVC-IV in the lowder DIN panel. I used the BLITZ DIN panel with boost guage as a starting point. The BLITZ DIN panel would only accept 1/4 DIN units (which neither of the HKS units are) so I had fabricate a panel to hold the two units.

I replaced the stock shifter with a #1 Short Shifter. Installation was about 1.5 hours and I really like the improvement. The shift pattern is smaller and tighter, and the notchy feeling in the tranny is reduced.

Here is a picture of the roadrace rear shock tower brace. It fits behind the rear seats. This modifications along with the larger front sway bar has cut the amount of body twist to a minimum when carving up canyon roads.
